fugitive (EN)

Textiles / dyeing: When you use beetroot for example for dyeing, the colour becomes less brilliant when exposing the dyed piece to sunlight. Hence, the colour is “fugitive”.

Beetroot does not work for colouring, it is fugitive. –> Mit Rote Beete kann man nicht gut färben, sie ist nicht lichtecht. –> Mit Rote Beete kann man nicht gut färben, sie blutet aus. (Je nach Zusammenhang ist die Bedeutung etwas anders.)
